Sociology in Health and Social Care

The Sociology in Health and Social Care Awareness Course provides practitioners with a greater awareness of the importance of sociology and how this can impact health and social care settings. 

Sociology is the study of how the world, specifically social class, influences the way we behave and perceive others . The role of a sociologist who is evaluating sociological perspectives is to consider factors such as age or gender when looking for patterns in how humans behave.  A sociologist will gather  data on topics within sociology and use this data to make recommendations within the healthcare sector.

Test & Certification

At the end of the Sociology in Health and Social Care training, you will be given a multiple-choice test. The required pass rate is 80%. You will be able to download and print a digital certificate on completion of the course. This certificate is valid for three years.

Duration

The communication for health and social care training will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, excluding the final exam.
