Safeguarding for Vulnerable People

This Safeguarding Children, Young People and Adults Course will build on your knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable groups. When you have completed the awareness training, you should have a better understanding of what makes individuals vulnerable and the services that protect children, young people and adults. 

What does the course cover?

  • Who is more susceptible to abuse during specific times in their lives.
  • What settings protect children, young people and adults.
  • Legisaltion in place to help protect people.

Training Outcomes

  • Understand that some individuals may be more at risk of abuse than others.
  • Know what are local safeguarding boards.
  • Learn which settings protect children, young people and adults.

  • Which individuals are vulnerable and why?
  • Which settings protect children, young people and adults?
  • What are local safeguarding boards?
  • What legislation is specific to safeguarding children/young people?

Test & Certification

At the end of the Safe Guarding for Vulnerable People Training Course, you will be given a 10-question, multiple-choice test. The required pass rate is 80%. You will be able to download and print a digital certificate on completion of the course. This certificate is valid for three years.

Duration

Main Course: Approximately 15 minutes (excluding time taken for the final exams).
