It is with great pride that we announce this fantastic news… We have been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2019 Shropshire Chamber Business Awards, BEST SMALL BUSINESS (6-20 employees).
These are the most hotly-contested business awards in the county so the result is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team behind Hospital Direct.
ETD Training is a trading name of Hospital Direct, manufacturers of patient handling equipment for over 20 years; specialising in the safe moving and handling of people. Our entry outlined the implementation of a strategy to grow HD's market share through a broader-based health and safety company; a "digital one-stop health and safety solutions shop." Launching a health and safety training portal that applies to all workplaces and organisations (and is syngergistic with the ethos of HD) is key to achieving business objectives and future success. We are delighted that the judges recognised our innovation and proud to be among the best of Shropshire biz in these prestigious awards.
Entries are judged by an independent panel of 16 local businessmen and women who have the unenviable task of selecting just four companies for each category. The next round in the process involves a site visit by 3 independent judges. A video production team (7Video) will also visit us to take a short introductory video for use on the evening. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday June 14th at the International Centre in Telford in front of an audience of around 700 business people. TV's Secret Millionaire Mo Chaudry, who was raised in Shropshire and became one of the most successful businessmen in the UK, is this year's guest speaker.
