Chrisbeon are a Shropshire based office products company who supply a huge range of business products, from everyday stationery and printer supplies, to office furniture and seating and promotional merchandise; as well as the design and planning of office interiors.

Chrisbeon have office furniture showrooms in Telford & Shrewsbury, and supply and service customers throughout the UK on a daily basis.

The challenge:


Chrisbeon first become aware of ETD Training during an exhibition at a Shropshire Chamber of Commerce business Expo a few years ago. Following a demo of the types of online training on offer, Chrisbeon reviewed their current staff training and new employees to complete some of their courses such as Manual Handling & Fire Training.

Previously manual handling training had been conducted in groups onsite which was more costly and not as flexible when they had a new employee.

The company is very staff focused and wanted to ensure that everyone benefitted from effective health and safety training, whilst also being able to track each employee’s progress.
They wanted to achieve all this whilst reducing projected additional training costs and delivering H&S training across their two sites.


The result:

Within two months of signing up for the training Chrisbeon were able to put all staff through their H&S training programme at a time that suited them individually; the result is real measurable business benefits for the company. Each team member can be tracked and audited to ensure compliance to the latest health and safety training requirements and the system can be accessed by office and home-based staff, and on the go from mobile devices.

The health and safety training courses cover all the company’s key requirements as well as determining the competency levels of learners on the material covered.
